Katsuhiko Mikoshiba, head of the Laboratory for Developmental Neurobiology at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, was presented with the French Legion of Honor in a special ceremony held at the Embassy of France in Tokyo in December 2013.

RIKEN and Argonne formalize alliance in petascale computing (07 February 2014)
The RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science and the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility in the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support collaborative projects aimed at expanding the use of petascale computing in the scientific and engineering communities.
